Born in Frankfurt in 1977 to an English mother and German father, Wiedemann grew up in a home with diverging personalities and cultures that would have a strong influence on his youth.
He is best known for the acute social commentary within his work and high end collaborations within the fashion and art industries. He combines images of contemporary luxury and status with amusing statements such as “In Greed We Trust”. He sees his artwork as a mirror to society and has a self-imposed mission to make fun of the materialistic world in which we all live.
Using spray paint, neon light, and screenprint he frequently turns iconic images and well known brands upside down looking at them in a satirical way and highlighting the vanities of today’s society.
