Born in Frankfurt in 1977 to an English mother and German father, Wiedemann grew up in a home with diverging personalities and cultures that would have a strong influence on his youth. He is best known for the acute social commentary within his work and high-end collaborations within the fashion and art industries.  He combines images of contemporary luxury and status with amusing statements such as “In Greed We Trust.”  He sees his artwork as a mirror to society and has a self-imposed mission to make fun of the materialistic world in which we all live. Using spray paint, neon light, and screenprint he frequently turns iconic images and well-known brands upside down looking at them in a satirical way and highlighting the vanities of today’s society.
