DETOUR Gallery and The MAIN Beauty Co-Op, in collaboration, are proud to present our first exhibition titled, Cognitive Dissonance. This exhibition will be on display at The MAIN Beauty Co-Op, located at 150 W 30th Street Store, New York, NY 10001. We hope you can join us for our opening night!
Cognition is a term referring to the mental processes involved in gaining knowledge and comprehension.
Dissonance is a term used to describe tension resulting from the combination of disharmonious or unsuitable elements.
Our exhibition, Cognitive Dissonance, aims to bring attention to an eclectic and colorful bash of artworks from the collections of DETOUR Gallery. From the surreal characters portrayed within the pictorial compositions of the artist, Samual Weinburg, to the mashed-up paper collages found upon the works of the artist, Michael Falcon, Cognitive Dissonance is sure to provide you with plenty of artworks to immerse yourself in.
